Twins! Distant Galaxy Looks Like Our Own Milky Way| Spiral Galaxies Photos | Stars & Galaxies | Space.com

Not our neck of the woods but another Galaxy that looks pretty much like the MILKY WAY is our neighbor. This is another Spiral Galaxy  that just happens to be oriented in a way that this Magnificant Picture can be taken.  Our Solar System (Sun, Earth, and other planets) although not in the outer most rings, is located kinda between the middle area and the outer most rings. If you drew a circle in the spiral about half way from the center and the outer rings then another circle between the circle just drawn and the outer most rings that would be the location that we are in our own Spiral Galaxy, The Milky Way.
